The difference between dog lovers, that are real dog people. And dog lovers, that think, their real dog people. Are so small, that It’s difficult for most us to tell the difference between the two.
Which one are you ?
A lot of this dog training , dog behavior and human behavior stuff that I teach. Requires you to be very honest with yourself. Forget about all this political correctness. And forget about what other people think of your answer. Giving the standard answers that sound good to other people when you say it. Is not going to help you out. And most certainly will not help out our dogs.
So; the difference between one group of dog lovers, and the other group of dog lovers.
Real dog lovers, not only always have dogs. They do not go dog shopping. What I mean by this is, when a real dog lover needs a dog. It doesn’t matter to them if the dog is a mix breed, pure breed, big, small, ugly, cute, five months old or five years old. The first dog that is available to them, they adopt.
Its all the same to them. A dog is a dog and they love them all, equally the same.
Unlike the other group of dog lovers, that really only like certain types of dogs. What they do is, they go dog shopping. Its like their shopping for a new car, or that perfect pair of shoes. Their either looking for , a specific look in a dog, or a specific breed of dog. Which is fine, as long as they understand that all dogs act the same.
Unfortunately if they don’t think all dogs are the same, when the dog starts giving them some trouble, the same problems that all dogs give us. They will usually get rid of the dog, because they have been taught; that breed of dog is not suppose to do that.
Where as real dog lovers know, that all dogs will give you trouble at some point. And this group of people, work through those problems.
I hope this has been, some help to you. Its not always easy, being honest with ourselves. But for you and your families sake. And for the sake of the dogs. Please be honest with yourself.
Thank You so much; And have a great day..The Spirit Dog
